Triumph Peashooter Exhaust Bracket
The above bracket was designed using CAD (carboard, not computer) to fit a Triumph Tiger 750.
Given the similar, if not identical, frame designs of the Triumph models, this bracket should serve as a replacement for most Triumphs, where the flat type bracket was initially fitted for mounting of the cigar type exhausts.
I understand that potentially later brackets could be rotated in order to mount peashooters instead, but this does not appear to be the case for pre ‘78 models. This is pure educated speculation based on the parts manuals but I’m quite sure this design would fit.
It’s probably worth noting that the kickstart clears the exhaust quite confidently at about 2mm clearance. Not alot, but it’s fun to watch the spectators wince as they wait for the inevitable “clang!”, of which there is none (yet).
Feel free to fabricate at your own risk. I personally used 3mm (1/8”) steel plate which is more that sturdy enugh. That exhaust ‘aint going nowhere!
Please let me know if you do use this design, it would be interesting to know if it’s only suitable for certain models. Enjoy!
